divh2Industrial Sewer - 2nd Shift/h2pThe Industrial Sewer position is responsible for sewing Specialty Filters, Screen Products, Vinyl Covers and hail protection products for the HVAC and cooling tower industry. The sewing work is based on order to order production designs and the candidate will be required to draw upon professional sewing skills and techniques./ppEssential Duties And Responsibilities:/pulliOperate industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, double-needle, or specialty machines) to sew, assemble, and finish filter products according to specifications./liliRead and interpret work orders, drawings, patterns, and sewing instructions to ensure proper assembly and quality standards are met./liliMeasure, cut, align, and position materials accurately before and during sewing operations./liliPerform quality checks on finished and in-process work to ensure seam strength, appearance, and dimensional accuracy meet requirements./liliAdjust machine settings (stitch length, tension, speed) as needed for different materials and products./liliIdentify and report defects, material issues, or machine malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance./liliPerform routine machine care, including threading needles, changing bobbins, cleaning equipment, and basic preventative maintenance./liliMaintain consistent production output while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards./liliFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials and equipment./liliMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S or plant standards./liliWork collaboratively with team members, leads, and quality personnel to meet production schedules./liliComply with all company policies, work instructions, and quality system requirements./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliEducation: High school diploma or equivalent/liliMinimum Years of Experience: 3 years experience in Industrial Sewing/liliIndustrial Sewing Certification is a Plus (Awning and/or canvas cover production experience is a plus)/liliExperience at cutting and tailoring and working with industrial sewing machines and double over locking/double needle sewing. (Familiarity with Juki machines or similar is a plus)/liliExpert at using rulers / tape measures./liliExperience with vinyl materials including vinyl coated polyester mesh or similar./liliDetail Oriented- speed and accuracy is important./liliAbility to set-up and clean your machine as needed is a plus./liliGood work ethic and positive attitude./liliMust be able to sit and move around large production stations./liliGood time management and communication skills./liliWilling and able to work overtime and/or occasional weekends as needed./liliMust be able to accommodate 2nd shift hours/ schedule./liliAuthorized to work in the US./li/ulpWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments.
