Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling electronic components for control panel boards in a manufacturing environment. You will work with small tools, electronic parts, and wiring while following detailed instruction drawings to ensure high-quality, reliable panel assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components for control panel boards according to daily instruction drawings and written diagrams.

• Work with small tools, hand tools, and power tools to complete precise assembly tasks.

• Handle and install small electronic parts, wires, and other components accurately and safely.

• Use various soldering techniques to connect electronic components and wiring as specified.

• Follow assembly instructions and production processes to meet quality and productivity standards.

• Perform basic quality inspection on assembled components to confirm they meet specifications.

• Collaborate with team members on the production floor to coordinate workflow and resolve assembly issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all safety and manufacturing guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing experience in a production or assembly environment.

• Experience with assembly work, including following written diagrams and instructions.

• Ability to read and work from written diagrams, schematics, or instruction drawings.

• Proficiency using hand tools and small tools for detailed assembly tasks.

• Experience using power tools in a manufacturing or production setting.

• Basic soldering skills and experience working with electronics and wiring.

• Attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspection on assembled components.

• Capability to work efficiently in a structured production environment alongside other employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment, which may be considered depending on departmental needs.

• Familiarity with production assembly processes and machine operation.

• Comfort working with small electronic parts, wires, and various soldering techniques.

• Ability to adapt to different departments and tasks as production needs change.

Work Environment

The role is based on a medium-sized production floor that is divided into multiple departments, each focused on specific stages of the manufacturing process. Workstations are arranged close together, creating a collaborative environment where several employees perform similar tasks side by side. You will regularly use hand tools, small tools, power tools, and soldering equipment to assemble electronic components and panel boards. The layout offers limited open space between stations, so you should be comfortable working in a structured, closely spaced production area while following established safety and operational procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
