Shape student success and provide impactful, individualized support in a full-time, on-site Special Education setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work 1:1 with students, fostering growth and positive change. Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching certification for South Carolina (required for interview consideration)
- Experience working 1:1 with students with special needs in a K-12 setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when partnering with support staff, students, and families
- Adaptability and a growth mindset, open to the unique challenges and rewards of special education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to assigned student(s) in a 1:1 setting, addressing academic, behavioral, and social/emotional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Implement evidence-based strategies to help students achieve their personal best
