This is a full-time position with 2 different shift schedules both being 4 – 10 hour shifts starting at 5:00am for 1st shift or 2:30pm for 2nd shift (Sun-Wed (OT Thurs) or Wed – Sat (OT Tues)). If you're seeking a flexible opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment, we invite you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specificationsThis inspector will implement quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulationsInspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirementsEnsures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory mannerSpecifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplishedCommunicates deficiencies to proper personnelMaintains Quality Assurance files and documents results of all inspectionsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installationsMinimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspectionsMinimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprintsMust be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shiftsStrong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skillsThis position requires performing inspections in manufacturing environments where access to components may require kneeling, crawling, crouching, or working in confined spaces. Inspectors may need to remain in these positions for several minutes while completing detailed quality inspections.Preferred Qualifications:Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical componentsExperience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspectionsExperience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industryFAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman CertificateExperience with Executive Fleet aircraft$35 - $40 an hour $29-$34 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Mileage reimbursement at the US government rate ($0.70 per mile driven).
