Description:
The unit has 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6.


The staffing includes two unit secretaries from 0600-2200 daily.


Patient care techs are utilized at all times, with the quantity fluctuating based on census.


Each room is equipped with telemetry, and there are monitors in the stations.


Other equipment includes Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanners.


Documentation is managed through Meditech.


Nurses work 12-hour shifts and are required to work every other weekend and holidays.


All nurses may float to other units as needed.


Hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and care boards are part of patient experience requirements.


The unit follows specific guidelines and policies that are essential for operations.


The team has received recognition for high employee engagement scores and quality measures.


Many staff members are nationally certified, including leadership.
