Designer

Creates, updates, and revises sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using SmallWorld GIS software or manual drafting to meet customer requirements. Prepares 2D and 3D models, reads and comprehends detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications, and documents support for design drawings. Prepares bills of material, schedules, and assists engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues. Responsibilities Design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers. Interact with customers, manage project timelines, conduct field assessments, and design systems using Client SmallWorld (customized GIS). Perform transformer sizing, underground cable routing, and pole placement. Prepare, review, and submit design documentation and drawings. Qualifications Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Organizational and project management skills. Basic electrical knowledge or background. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. GIS or AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required. Non-Technical Skills People skills and the ability to work well with a team. Desire to learn and grow professionally. Adaptability and independence in a fast-paced environment. Background & Experience No specific degree required; open to candidates with construction, call center, police, or related backgrounds.
