Plumbing Service Manager

In this role, you’ll lead a talented group of technicians, ensuring every project meets our high standards and follows all state and local codes. You’ll support the team by providing ongoing leadership, coaching, and development to drive performance, support professional growth, and achieve organizational goals. What You’ll Do: Provide leadership and operational support to service technicians and supervisors, including participation in on-call rotations in accordance with business unit policies. Ensure compliance with company guidelines, business unit standards, and all applicable state and local codes. Partner on HR-related matters and support inclusive hiring practices by recommending qualified candidates. Lead performance management discussions focused on employee development, address performance concerns professionally, and **escalate** critical issues as needed. Demonstrate a strong understanding of service reporting metrics to effectively manage team performance and business results. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by managing technician performance to meet customer expectations. Support sales proposal development, identify and communicate prefabrication opportunities, provide technical guidance, resolve invoice disputes, and assist with accounts receivable activities. Manage revenue goals established through annual strategic planning. Monitor technician labor hours for safety and efficiency, ensure the accuracy of work orders and timesheets, review monthly Technician Productivity Reports, and provide coaching, recognition, and performance improvement feedback. Lead monthly safety meetings and support continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures. Conduct two monthly safety observations, ensure compliance with safety requirements, implement corrective actions when needed, and oversee injury and incident reporting and investigations in accordance with company policies and business segment guidelines. What You’ll Need: High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of relevant Plumbing experience. Strong expertise in MEP systems, commercial service operations, techniques, and applicable codes. Excellent communication skills with a strong client‑focused approach. Proven track record of coaching, developing, and building trusted relationships with direct reports to support long‑term performance and growth. Required to maintain all applicable plumbing registrations, licenses, and certifications.
