Provides clinical and operational leadership for areas assigned How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. * Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities * Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern) * Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions) * Malpractice liability insurance * Loan forgiveness through the  New Mexico Higher Education Department * EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 1.00 Job Exempt: Yes Work Shift: 10 Hour Days (United States of America) Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership * Provide oversight for daily operations of surgical nursing units, including OR, PACU, and pre/post-operative care. * Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care. * Maintain clinical competency and support best practices in surgical nursing. * Participate in direct patient care as needed due to staffing or acuity demands. Staff Management & Development * Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff. * Develop staffing schedules that align with patient census and acuity in a rural setting. * Mentor and coach nursing personnel to support professional growth. * Promote staff engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. Operational Management * Oversee departmental budgets, resource allocation, and cost control. * Monitor productivity, patient flow, and efficiency of surgical services. * Ensure equipment and supply availability, with attention to rural resource limitations. * Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications: * Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required * BLS required. * BSN required * Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO) We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
