Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job TitleProcess Engineering SupervisorJob DescriptionThe Process Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising salaried bargaining unit process engineers in the development of process tooling for trim, chassis, and final operations from vehicle design concept through in plant vehicle launch. Champion data driven decisions. Manage complex projects from beginning to end and meet project budget and timing targets. Manage issues and drive root cause analysis, utilizing tools such as Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's, FMEAs, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma, and Red X. The Process Engineer Supervisor also directs design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects big or small and works to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering direct report to take ownership of their processes. The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Extensive travel may be required.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline5+ years of experience related to automotive assembly technology supervisionKnowledge of CAN softwareGood written and communication skillsGood computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google SuiteGood project management/problem solving skillsSelf-directed and willing to work any shift and overtime as requiredWilling to travel both domestically and internationally as requiredAbility to work overtime as needed including nights and weekends and travel domestically/internationally as requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automotive technologyStrong leadership/problem solving skills5+ years of supervision experience in automotive manufacturing assemblyDemonstrated experience in Focused Problem Solving (Kaizen methodology)Experience in electrical and/or torque strongly desiredExperience working with vehicle CAN and CAN-FD networks and diagnostic tools
