Manufacturing Accountant

Lead Accounting Operations

Lead accounting operations including billing, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.

Lead month-end and year-end close process.

Leverage new technology and automation to create best in class financial visibility and reporting.

Work cross-functionally with operations to improve internal controls related to inventory.

Perform daily accounting tasks, including assisting with banking transactions, posting revenue, general ledger coding of invoices, credit cards, and expense reports.

Perform bank reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.

Maintain amortization and prepaid expense schedule.

Analyze the financial statements at month-end for accuracy and identifying and issues to senior management.

Oversee corporate budgeting process including managing departmental budget spend.

Lead the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal taxes.

Process sales tax returns with multiple revenue streams.

Process credit applications to establish vendor terms.

Provide creativity and critical thinking.

What You'll Need to Have (Required Qualifications):

3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

Willingness to be flexible and operate in a start-up environment.

Experience as the sole member of the internal financial team.

Proficiency in working within CPG financial structure.

Ability to streamline and optimize workflow around wholesale business.

BA/BS degree, preferably with accounting focus/concentration.

Advanced-level Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with QuickBooks Online, Avalara, and Gusto.

Experience with setting up APIs and EDIs.

Love of numbers and can navigate comprehensive data easily and quickly.

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.

Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
