This includes supporting the creation of Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), prioritization and coordination of sustainment activities, managing product configuration documents and being the liaison of Product Management throughout the project execution within Landis+Gyr research and development team. Key Responsibilities:Contributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs Supports R&D feasibility/traceability reviewsWorks with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and TrainingCreate and maintain Product Catalog InformationWorks in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectationsRepresent Product Management on manufacturing related initiatives and activities for roles related to hardware portfolio.Understands market research for addressing market and/or business needs for a product, including awareness of market trends, direction and competition landscape.Develop customer communications (e.g. Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, Release Notes)Ensures all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionalityContributes to business reviews and planning sessionsSupports Landis+Gyr’s quality processesSupport for industry events, internal sales meetings, Landis+Gyr’s Exchange, and customer specific meetingsOwns the management of sustainment of existing product offeringsSupports and adheres to Company’s core values.Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Thorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineering.  Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) and/or basic knowledge of utility space.• Basic knowledge of existing and emerging software development technologies for roles related to software portfolio• Critical thinking, communication and analytical skillsAgile software development process experience for roles related to software portfolioUnderstanding of marketing concepts/market researchSuperior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentationsAccountabilities:Work alongside cross functional teams to develop and execute the overall strategy for assigned productWorks on assigned product dependencies and interrelationships to deliver a complete customer solution (hardware/software) rather than just a “Product”.Collaboration with R&D, Deployment, Sales and Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speakingOrganizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deploymentAbility to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationshipEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in engineering or computer science At least 0 - 3 years of relevant experience required.A combination of education and experience may be considered.Formal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process is desiredAs a part of the Landis+Gyr family, employees are offered a comprehensive and competitive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k)-retirement plan featuring a generous company match incentive.  Additionally, we offer three (3) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) as well as eleven (11) paid holidays.  We also offer a tuition reimbursement program, optional pet insurance, supplemental medical coverage and a host of other perks to ensure the health, wellness, and enrichment of our team members. Pay is in the range of $100,600 - $127,225 per year.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. We're committed to shaping a better future for everyone.
