The Executive Chef plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the culinary operations of a fine dining establishment. Reporting directly to the restaurant owner, this position ensures excellence in menu planning, kitchen operations, and overall customer experience. The Executive Chef is responsible for maintaining high standards in food quality and safety while managing vendor relationships and overseeing budget and inventory controls. Regular and seasonal staff training under their guidance ensures a skilled and motivated team.

 

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop innovative menus tailored to fine dining clientele
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards
• Ensure quality control and compliance with food safety regulations
• Manage inventory and place orders with international, national, and local suppliers
• Oversee budget management and cost control measures
• Conduct regular and seasonal staff training programs
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure ingredient quality and supply
• Enhance customer dining experience through exceptional kitchen operations

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional kitchen management
• Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven culinary expertise with fine dining experience
• Strong skills in menu development and food safety compliance
• Effective management of kitchen staff and inventory
• Experience with budgeting and leadership in a culinary environment
• Excellent communication skills
