Inspector Operator

Inspector/Packer – Job Description As an Inspector/Packer you will be responsible for inspecting and packing products to quality standards, with the ability to train and later operate converting machines. Schedule Shift: 12‑hour day/night on a 2‑2‑3 rotation. Must be available on alternating weekends and some holidays. Train new inspector operators and reinforce safety and environmental principles. Operate computers to monitor and change process variables. Communicate via shift logs and provide proper relief to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation. Inspect raw materials and finished product, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures. Report incidents or near misses that may affect safety, health, or the environment. Acquire knowledge of operations, instrumentation, and processes, and keep maintenance and operators updated. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing experience (preferred, not required). Technical knowledge of bag/pouch machines (preferred, not required). Knowledge of pouch/bag making and film handling fundamentals, troubleshooting (preferred, not required). Solid verbal and written communication skills in English or Spanish. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a ruler. Basic computer skills. Organizational skills. Physical Requirements Physically able to lift 50 lbs. Operate heavy machinery continuously, stand up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts. Drive a forklift (stand‑up and sit‑down) for up to 12 hours per day. Occasional twisting, turning, or bending to move items up to 50 lbs. Alert state of mind to avoid safety hazards.
