CNC Mill Machinist (Direct Hire)

Location: Central Lake County, IL
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Openings:

1 opening on 1st shift
1 opening on 2nd shift

Pay Range:
$20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience

Shift Options:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled CNC Mill Machinists for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturer located in central Lake County. This role is ideal for machinists with strong CNC milling experience who are comfortable with setup work and multiple control platforms.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts per specifications
Perform machine setups, including selection of speeds and feeds (preferred)
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
Make basic program edits at the machine as needed
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Preferred Qualifications

Post-secondary certificate in machining or manufacturing (preferred)
Experience with OSP controllers (preferred)
Some experience with FANUC controllers (preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience working with CNC mills
1 year of setup experience , including speeds and feeds (preferred)
High School Diploma or GED required
