Work Environment This position is fully remote, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments while serving a diverse clientele. As part of our community health clinic, you will access state-of-the-art digital tools and resources, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to track patient progress and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. The remote setting offers flexibility in your daily schedule, with core working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and occasional adjustments to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are sensitive to the cultural backgrounds of patients, allowing for the formulation of personalized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs, whether delivering individual, family, or group therapy sessions. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—including psychiatrists and psychologists—to enhance patient care, ensuring coordinated services. Provide crisis intervention support, helping patients navigate emergencies with composure and compassion. Educate patients and families about various mental health conditions and treatment pathways, fostering understanding and engagement in their recovery journey. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to professional standards and practices. Participate actively in case discussions, cultural competency training, and team meetings to enhance the quality of care and professional development. Stay updated on the latest research, methodologies, and cultural considerations in mental health to enrich service delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population is richly diverse, consisting of individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. You will engage with clients who often face unique challenges related to their specific communities, including individuals from minority groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. Your ability to navigate these cultural contexts will be crucial in fostering therapeutic relationships and facilitating effective treatment outcomes. Qualifications A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid license as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW in California. A developed understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment strategies that emphasize cultural responsiveness. Experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions, with an emphasis on inclusive practices. Demonstrated crisis intervention skills with an ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing an ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse clientele. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other computer applications relevant to mental health practice. A commitment to maintaining ethical standards, professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality. Capability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, enhancing overall service delivery. Preferred Experience Experience providing mental health services in community health settings. Previous work with culturally diverse populations, including participation in community outreach initiatives. Knowledge of contemporary trends and best practices in mental health care. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
