Auto Repair Technician

Job Description

An Auto Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various automotive systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Working both independently and within a team, technicians follow a flat rate compensation system and adhere to scheduled shifts while delivering quality service to customers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and exceptional problem-solving skills to address diverse repair needs.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify issues
Repair and maintain engines, brakes, electrical systems, and transmissions
Interact effectively with customers to explain repairs and services
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
Ensure safety compliance in all repair and maintenance tasks
Replace parts as needed to restore vehicle functionality
Keep accurate records of repairs and service history

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in auto repair
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in mechanical diagnostics and brake systems
Experience with engine repair, electrical systems, and transmission repair
Strong customer service skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
Time management skills to handle scheduled work efficiently
