Job Summary
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician, Operating Room Open Heart, Aurora, Colorado: The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician supports open-heart surgical procedures and works collaboratively with registered nurses and surgical technologists in a fast-paced acute care environment. The position includes day shifts, call responsibilities, and participation in cardiovascular procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and valve replacement.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum one year of current acute care cardiovascular operating room technician hospital experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), DORA, and NBSTA certifications must be held at the time of submission; proficiency in open-heart procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Meditech; previous travel experience as a cardiovascular operating room technician in a large trauma facility; cardiovascular experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 48 hours per week; no weekend shifts. Call is required, with details discussed during the interview.
- Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include support for coronary artery bypass grafting, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and valve replacement procedures. The ideal candidate is flexible, confident, team-oriented, and committed to clear communication and quality patient care.
