Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Outside Sales Representative role based in Washington, DC. The Outside Sales Representative will manage and grow a customer portfolio by regularly visiting clients, understanding their product requirements, and recommending appropriate produce and seafood solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting sales presentations, generating new business leads, and following up on opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic market. The role involves maintaining consistent communication with existing accounts, resolving service issues in collaboration with internal teams, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity. The Outside Sales Representative will also prepare quotes, track orders, and report on sales performance to meet or exceed assigned targets. Qualifications Strong relationship building and customer service skills, with a focus on long-term account management. Proficiency in sales presentations and new business development, including prospecting and closing techniques. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with diverse customer stakeholders. Experience in outside or field sales, preferably in foodservice, produce, or seafood distribution. Ability to work independently in an on-the-road environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple accounts. Basic proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software for tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular on-site customer visits in the Washington, DC area and surrounding region.
