General Summary

As a Clinical Intern, you will assist with daily patient care activities including hygiene, skin care, mobility, and nutrition. You will support patients with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, repositioning, ambulation, and range of motion exercises. Additionally, you will help prepare patients for meals, assist with feeding, and monitor dietary compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Provide skin care and take precautions to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist with physical activities such as transfers and ambulation.
• Perform technical nursing procedures under supervision, including oxygen therapy, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and injections.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with the primary nurse.
• Educate patients and families in conjunction with nursing staff.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation in medical records.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and promote teamwork.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.

Experience

Entry-level position; no prior experience required.

Certification/License

Not applicable.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical stamina, including frequent walking, lifting, turning, and other movements. Exposure to infectious diseases and other health hazards is possible.
