This Student Nurse Intern role offers hands-on experience under the guidance of licensed nurses, supporting patient treatment and care across various clinical settings.Under supervision, the intern performs patient care duties tailored to individual age and developmental needs, assisting with daily living activities and clinical tasks.Provide direct patient care including hygiene assistance such as bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming.Deliver skin care while preventing breakdown and assist with physical activities like repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers.Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake, and adhering to dietary restrictions.Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.Perform specialized care such as sit baths, postmortem care, application of compression stockings, cold packs, and binders.Lead and encourage participation in performance improvement initiatives and teamwork.Carry out technical nursing procedures within credentialed scope, including oxygen therapy management, catheter insertion/removal, IV discontinuation, suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and patient assessments.Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, maintain nasogastric tubes, and educate patients and families in collaboration with primary nurses.Communicate promptly with licensed nurses regarding any changes in patient condition or concerns.Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient care activities in medical records.Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.Entry-level position; no prior experience required.Requires significant mental focus, frequent walking, lifting, turning, and physical activity including pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.Exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, anti-neoplastic agents, and occasional hostile individuals. Frequent contact with blood and bodily fluids. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
