Assistant Fitness Manager

Position Purpose Build a cohesive Personal Training team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive an exceptional fitness experience. Responsibilities Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent, by leading the team and driving initiatives. Promote personal training packages and build strong rapport with members to drive sales. Achieve and exceed sales targets for personal training services and small group training sessions. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into the club experience. Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate fitness needs and goals. Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention, and engagement. Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through coaching sessions and continuous support. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Supervise facility maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain certifications, and implement safety protocols. Qualifications 2–3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across all levels. Strong detail orientation and systematic problem‑solving approach, with good time management and organizational skills. Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus. Embracement of our Core Values. Requirements Available to work nights and weekends. Must successfully pass a background check. Valid personal training certification. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting, move about gym floors and rooms, and communicate with employees, members, and the public. Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs. Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents and entering data. Eligible Compensation Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus.
