Diversified Support Services (DSS) is seeking a skilled Press Brake / Roll Form Operator to join our team in Pelham, AL. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will be responsible for reading engineering drawings, programming and operating press brake and roll form machinery, and forming metal components to exact tolerances. Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Programming: Set up, program, operate, and maintain Press Brake and Roll Form machinery according to blueprint specifications, clearances, and tolerances.

• Material Selection & Forming: Read drawings to select correct materials, determine precise dimensions (angles, thickness, length), and perform plate metal cutting and forming using power and hand tools.

• Material Handling & Rigging: Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and lifting mechanisms to move, place, and manipulate heavy metal parts and materials.

• Quality Control & Inventory: Conduct quality checks on finished parts, perform material takeoffs and inventory counts, and organize/package parts efficiently for downstream operations.

• Safety & Workplace Maintenance: Perform daily pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, adhere to 5S cleanliness guidelines, and uphold strict shop safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a fabrication shop operating metal-forming machinery.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical College Certification preferred.

• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints, program machinery, select appropriate tooling, and apply basic math and measurement concepts.

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift over 50 pounds consistently, climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces or at heights, and stand/walk for extended periods.

• Attributes: Self-motivated, highly safety-oriented, goal-driven, and focused on maintaining high efficiency and product quality.

Schedule & Pay

• Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Individual Contributor)

• Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

• Work Location: On-site manufacturing facility in Pelham, AL

• Work Environment: Active industrial fabrication shop with exposure to seasonal temperatures, noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric dust/particles
