Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions within the ICU setting. The role involves delivering high-quality, holistic care across various patient populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans in accordance with established standards.
• Execute nursing diagnosis, set expected outcomes, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including the use of Impella and Balloon Pumps.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
• Participate in shared decision-making and maintain compliance with clinical practice standards.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the Epic electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state RN license with current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Possess 1+ years of ICU experience, preferably with open-heart surgery patients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and familiarity with Impella and Balloon Pump devices.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred.
• Proficient in Epic EMR; previous experience highly preferred.
• Provide verifiable work history and submit current skills checklist with references.
