RN - Pediatric

This is a night shift position, requiring a 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30. The position includes working every other weekend. Location New Jersey Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description The Registered Nurse will work in a float pool covering various pediatric units including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (no chemotherapy/infusions), pediatrics, adolescents, newborn nursery, and Special Care Nursery. The nurse will also take assignments in all areas of the organization, including Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across various units. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Float between departments based on needs and patient acuity. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1.5 years of recent nursing experience in pediatric care. Active NJ or Compact RN License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; APHON preferred. Experience with IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitoring necessary.
