About the Role

The Company is seeking a Trust Administrative Officer to join its Global Trusts & Estates Practice. The successful candidate will be part of a team that has a long-standing history of serving as a corporate fiduciary for families, and will be responsible for the technical and risk management aspects of trust and estate administration. This includes working with the Account Opening Group, interpreting governing instruments and applicable laws, and ensuring the proper set-up of account records. The role also involves client relationship management, responding to client issues, and proactively managing the account base to minimize service and operational issues. The Trust Administrative Officer will be expected to have or develop the skills to provide leverage and back-up coverage for the Trust Officer, and to actively participate in the training and development necessary to stay abreast of the specialized and ever-changing nature of the trust practice. Applicants for the Trust Administrative Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the trust and estates industry. The role requires a general understanding of fiduciary products and concepts, including legal, tax, and investment knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and risk management skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Teamwork, personal effectiveness, and the ability to cross-sell and retain clients are also essential. Proficiency in computer skills, including trust accounting systems, is necessary, and prior experience as a corporate trustee is a plus.
