Front Desk Agent

Location: Aloft Leawood – Overland Park, 11620 Ash Street, Kansas, KS, USA. Job Description We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to ensure all guests enjoy a friendly arrival and departure experience. Responsibilities include: Guest relations: greet and serve guests with a smile, use guests’ names. Check‑in/out efficiency: process all guests promptly; contact guests after check‑in. Rate schedule: maintain up‑to‑date understanding of room rates and promotions. Mail handling: receive and note all incoming mail per daily shift checklist. Cleanliness: maintain front‑of‑house areas; support overall cleanliness standards. Technical: use relevant technology for each role; answer calls with friendly service. Emergency handling: resolve challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency. Communication: clear, honest, professional communication with teammates. Qualifications & Requirements Preferred: experience in hospitality or service industry. Positive, can‑do attitude; willingness to learn. Ability to follow guidelines and procedures. Handle pace and pressure; remain calm under stress. Effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Age 18+; willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays. Time‑keeping: arrive and clock in/out on time; never work off the clock. Breaks and call‑outs: adhere to designated break times and supervisor notice when calling out. Physical & Working Environment Stand or remain in a stationary position for 3‑4 hours at a time. Operate computers, dial telephone, 10‑key entry. Lift and transport supplies up to 25 pounds. Inspect, observe details; may lift packages or general equipment. Moderate noise level (phone ringing, communication). English language proficiency for reading, writing, speaking.
