The Tire Technician is personally responsible for providing proper tire inspections, repairs and replacements on the existing operational fleet.**Job Description**Essential Job Functions:* Performs repairs on tires only and must have and/or be able to pass TIA certification.* Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on vehicles and equipment.* Completes daily inspections of all wheel positions on vehicles and equipment.* Performs safety inspections and/or repairs of DVIR/EVIR reported issues.* Operate all related equipment and tools as trained.* Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area daily.* Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:* High School Diploma and/or GED* 1 - 2 years’ experience in heavy truck equipment & light duty truck tire maintenance* Must be able to work overtime as needed.* Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations* Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional* Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information* Valid Class C Driver's License* Acceptable Driver's Record* Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodationsPreferred Qualifications:* Bilingual English / Spanish* Trade School Certification* ASE Certification* TIA Certification**Schedule:** 2:30PM - 11:00PM. 2nd Shift - Mon/Fri and Every other Saturday**Pay:** $23.18 - $24.72## **Benefits:*** Competitive wages* Comprehensive benefit package Medical, Dental, Vision* 401K* Life Insurance* Paid Vacation and Sick Time* Career plan* Recognition programs* Professional development learning* An exceptional work environment*Athens will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance and any other applicable state, federal or local laws.
