Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor for adverse effects and document effects.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status; identify changes and escalate to the physician as needed.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and discharge planning through collaboration with the care team.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Oregon
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Med Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Willingness to participate in a travel temporary assignment
