CRITICAL Requirements & Screening Highlights

• Education (Strict Filter): BSN is required by the facility (candidates with an ADN/ASN will not be accepted) .
• Licensure: Active Michigan (MI) RN license required.
• Interview Type: Direct phone interview from the nurse manager.
• On-Call & Block Schedule: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! (Note: Block scheduling is not offered).

Contract Details

• Location: Detroit, MI (Henry Ford Hospital)
• Length: 13 weeks (with standard option to extend)
• Variable Shifts: 3x12s
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Mid-Shift: 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Facility & Role Overview

• Facility Scale: Henry Ford Hospital is an 870+ bed flagship academic teaching facility and Level I Trauma Center located in central Detroit.
• Unit Scope: High-volume, fast-paced emergency environment handling high-acuity trauma, stroke, cardiac, and general emergency admissions.
• Core Responsibilities: Rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, emergency medication administration, critical documentation, and interdisciplinary care coordination.

Requirements & Certifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent emergency department (ER) RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• License: Active Michigan RN license.
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
• Preferred Certification: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is strongly preferred.
