Security Guard (Level 2 and 3 McAllen TX)

Security OfficerL4 has immediate openings for both Level 2 and Level 3 Security Officers for both part and full-time positions. Security Guard comprises the base element of security services. General duties and responsibilities including providing security services to a variety of clients. These duty posts include Federal government, manufacturing and distribution facilities, schools and colleges, religious institutions, retail sites and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProtect property and livesMonitor entrance/egress of propertyIdentify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation.Guard against theft and maintain securityRespond to alarms and calls of distressComplete accurate daily & incident reports by recording observations, information occurrences and surveillance activitiesPrevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areasPrevent access to unauthorized personsInspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational useRegulate and monitor building systemsInspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and workingComplete all required security logsCommunicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitorsQualificationsMust have a High School diploma or GEDMust be at least 21 years of age and legally possess a firearm.Can operate a firearm, pass firearms qualification courses and can receive appropriate licensures (TX DPS Level III)Maintain professionalism and ability to wear a uniform neatly and correctlyAbility to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.Must have the ability be alert and appropriately deal with escalated and crisis/emergency situations.Ability to multi-taskAbility to operate a computer and other security devices.Depending on the client and state, must be able to obtain required training and licensures.EOE/M/F/VET/Disabilities EmployerVEVRAA Federal Contractor * Priority referrals for protected veterans*We participate in the E-Verify Employment Verification Program
