Senior Litigation Attorney for a Boutique Commercial Litigation Firm

Compensation: $170,000 - $230,000 Annual Salary
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, 401K with a match program, PTO, professional liability coverage, and bar dues plus CLE reimbursement.

Are you a commercial litigator ready to run your own matters and work directly with the partner who owns them? We are a boutique litigation firm in Nassau County, NY handling business to business disputes, and we are looking for a SENIOR LITIGATION ATTORNEY to take on a meaningful caseload alongside our founding partner. Position Description

You will work directly with the firm's founding partner on the matters that matter most to the practice. Our work spans business to business disputes, judgment enforcement, asset tracing and distressed matters, alongside drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. We are small and growing quickly, which means you own your cases start to finish, you speak to clients directly, and your judgment carries weight. This is a full time, in person position.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing
• 5+ years of commercial or business litigation experience
• Proven ability to run matters independently, including dispositive motions, discovery strategy and depositions
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Experience with judgment enforcement, asset tracing or distressed matters is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own a caseload of business to business commercial disputes from strategy through resolution
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, manage discovery, and appear in court and at mediations
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including inter-creditor and restructuring documents
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, advising on exposure, risk and strategy
• Partner directly with the founding partner on the firm's most significant matters
