Personal Injury Trial Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active admission to the New York Bar.
• Demonstrated personal injury litigation and trial experience.
• Experience managing a broad range of plaintiff-side personal injury matters.
• Strong courtroom, deposition, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently handle a high-volume litigation caseload.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical abilities.
• Team-focused mentality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, in-office environment.

Personal Injury Trial Attorney Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience handling multiple types of plaintiff-side personal injury cases, not limited to a single niche.
• Strong client communication abilities.

Personal Injury Trial Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from inception through trial or resolution.
• Handle a diverse caseload including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, product liability, nursing home negligence, defective pharmaceuticals/medical devices, wrongful death, and other catastrophic injuries.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate documents as needed.
• Work directly with clients throughout all phases of litigation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff.
• Develop litigation strategies and advocate vigorously for clients.
