Sr CAD Administrator, Engineering Applications

About the Team We are looking for a Senior CAD Administrator to join our rapidly growing Engineering Applications team at our headquarters in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members to support all aspects of the engineering process across multiple disciplines: Fluids Systems, Structures, Avionics, Propulsion, Test & Launch, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). About the Role Your primary responsibilities will center on SIEMENS NX and Teamcenter PLM application support for Engineering teams, including evaluating and testing new software products, delivering user training, and providing technical administration to ensure robust CAD/PLM capabilities. Responsibilities Development and delivery of expert‑level SIEMENS Teamcenter, NX/NX‑CAM, and Simcenter3D software application level support, troubleshooting, and solution provision for new and innovative technology and tools. Full understanding of Teamcenter Browser‑based AWC (Active Workspace Client) User Interface (UI) with NX. Provide training, full documentation, and coordination of all training activities. Timely support of IT Service Desk support tickets and Engineering Slack channel support for Teamcenter and NX. Support managing the Standard Parts Library and participate in the creation of Part Families as needed in ongoing support of Mechanical Routing application (Tubing and Piping) and Cadenas PARTsolutions library. Design, test, and deployment of NX configurations including managing templates, customizations, and preferences, engineering drawing release with Teamcenter workflows, and ECO (Engineering Change Order) workflows. Develop and document Design Engineering best practices. Conduct periodic training and lunch‑and‑learn sessions. About You 5+ years’ experience in SIEMENS NX and Teamcenter, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of design principles. NX Administration and configuration experience. Experience in a production environment support for Teamcenter/NX managed environment, including Teamcenter workflows, installation and visualization NX integration (AWC – Active Workspace Client). Experience with NX Part Families and Standard Parts Library management. Nice to haves Experience and deep knowledge in CAE—analysis and simulation tools such as SIEMENS Simcenter 3D, Simcenter STAR‑CCM, ANSYS, HEEDS, FEMAP with NX NASTRAN, etc. BA/BS degree desired; may substitute experience for degree. Experience with other MCAD systems (SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk/AutoCAD Inventor, etc.) a plus. Programming skills in Python, C++, KF, Visual Basic, and NX Open.
