We're collaborating with an established merchant cash advance (MCA) provider to add an Underwriter to their growing team. This role focuses on evaluating small business funding applications, assessing repayment risks, and supporting fast-paced deal approvals. It's an ideal entry point for those new to MCA or seeking stability between roles, with hands-on training on the firm's credit guidelines-no need for prior A/B paper expertise.

Your decisions will help deploy funding responsibly, minimize defaults, and contribute to a portfolio that's already exceeded $350M in advances, ensuring the company thrives in a competitive market. Background Strong fits could come from:
• 1-3+ years in underwriting or risk analysis from MCA, small business lending, or related fields like banking/consumer finance (open to non-MCA backgrounds)
• Experience reviewing business financials, bank statements, and repayment capacity
• Steady professionals looking to enter or re-enter the industry, perhaps between opportunities What You'll Do
• nalyze MCA applications, including revenue trends, credit reports, and business viability
• Conduct merchant reviews to gauge funding fit and risk levels
• Collaborate with a team of 10+ underwriters on daily/weekly deal flows
• pply the firm's credit box with provided training to structure sustainable advances
• Support portfolio monitoring and risk mitigation in a hybrid office/remote environment Skills and Competencies Required:
