Materials & ERP Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Materials and ERP Manager for our client in the Raritan Township, NJ area. This direct hire role focuses on made to order workflows and made to order stock. This hands-on, on-site role addresses a broad range of power products, power electronics, semiconductors, all in development and manufacturing in an OEM environment. This role will be responsible for creations of proposals, presentations to management and management of projects from start to finish. This role will also be responsible for managing day-to-day as well as long term planning for materials and work orders through a customized in-house ERP and MRP system. This position will guide the planning and inventory teams. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in materials planning (electronics preferred), MRP configuration, Kanban as well out rollouts. Please see requirements below prior to resume submittal. Salary range: $115,000 to $130,000 DOE. Responsibilities Manage master data and MRP/MPS configuration and adjustments. Manage item attributes and lead times. ROL/Kanban settings, routings and pilot and roll out MRP/MPS to all codes. Plan and release production & purchase orders that meet customer demands. Manage and optimize capacity and inventory. Oversee cycle-counts, stockroom transactions and oversee root-cause analysis on variances. Create and set objectives, evaluate performance, and assist in building and leading cross-training. Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, manufacturing, sales, and engineering to align schedules to resolve shortages. Support NPI. Drive resolution of material and process non-conformances. Manage the NPR workflow, lead collaborative root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Manage revision changes and prototype gating and activate new part revisions, as well as shepherd prototypes through the approved workflow. Confirm all documentation, approvals, and BOM updates before full production. Drive continuous improvement, identify cost-reduction opportunities, streamline material flow, and lean/5S initiatives. Report KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, schedule adherence) and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business, or related field. 7+ years in materials planning, production control, or supply-chain management within a manufacturing environment. Previous ERP/MRP ownership required. Proven success launching and optimizing MRP/MPS modules and governing master data. Proven proficiency with ERP systems data-analysis skills. Current working knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory-management methodologies (kanban, min/max, costing methods). Current working knowledge of BOM/routing structures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
