Your Opportunity Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief for our Rochester, NY office. This position will report to the manager of Land Surveying and will primarily be a field role, performing control, topographic and boundary/ROW surveys, but there will be times when office support will be required. Your Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to being in charge of field survey activities, including the following: Understanding and executing the scope of work for each assignment. Providing direction and oversight of the instrument operator. Ensuring proper field techniques are used, and data quality checks are taking place. Ensuring proper safety measures are being followed. Providing debriefing to senior office staff after completion of assignments. Performing field reconnaissance of property & ROW evidence. Understanding the operation of total stations and GNSS equipment and their associated controllers and data collectors. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
