Make an impact supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students as a contract-based school psychologist in the Des Plaines, IL area. This onsite position is designed for talented professionals looking to provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and collaborate with a supportive team in an engaging K-5 school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois School Psychologist License (IL Psych License) required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required for school-based roles in Illinois
- Background in psychological assessments and special education eligibility determination
- Experience working with preschool through 5th-grade students preferred
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week onsite
- Conduct in-depth evaluations for students ranging from preschool to 5th grade; caseload may fluctuate based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop recommendations and individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Provide written reports and participate in eligibility meetings and staffings
- Support the creation of safe and inclusive learning environments for all students
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district policies
