Step into a vibrant educational environment supporting young learners in a dynamic role focused on elementary student success. A dedicated school psychologist is sought for a contract position covering a maternity leave, serving two closely situated schools that foster collaboration and community. This position centers on providing valuable psychological services for preschool through 5th-grade students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist credentials
- Experience in school settings with students from preschool to 5th grade
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and interpret findings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, staff, and families
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are preferred, but not required
- In-person availability preferred; some flexibility may be offered for hybrid arrangements
- Adaptable to a fluid start and end date to accommodate a maternity leave
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform student evaluations tailored to individual educational needs
- Consult with educators and parents on intervention strategies and learning plans
- Offer direct and indirect support for students' behavioral and emotional wellness
- Maintain clear case records and documentation as required
- Support campus initiatives for inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Attend staff meetings and collaborate with related service teams
