Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a crucial role supporting young learners as a contract Occupational Therapist in a vibrant PreK environment. ProCare Therapy is seeking a Occupational Therapist for a school-based, contracted position near Wickham Crossing, VA. This opportunity runs from the end of July through mid-October, covering a valued team member’s maternity leave. With one school to support and a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you’ll make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners at a pivotal stage of their development.
Desired qualifications include:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Virginia
- Early Intervention Endorsement required
- Previous experience in a school-based, pediatric, or early intervention OT setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working alongside educators, support staff, and families
- Ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs in PreK-age children
- Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care
Responsibilities
- Evaluating students and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to developmental needs
- Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services in cooperation with teachers and staff
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining thorough records, and communicating updates to families and school teams
- Supporting the creation of accessible, accommodating classroom environments
- Participating in team meetings to assess student outcomes and adjust approaches as needed
