Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing occupational therapy expertise for one vibrant PreK school community near Ashland, VA. This opportunity runs from the end of July through mid-October, covering a valued team member’s maternity leave. With one school to support and a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you’ll make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners at a pivotal stage of their development.

Ideal candidates will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for serving early childhood populations. You’ll play a key role supporting students’ functional independence, fine motor skills, and social participation within the classroom setting.

Desired qualifications include:

• Current, active OT license for Virginia
• Early Intervention Endorsement required
• Previous experience in a school-based, pediatric, or early intervention OT setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working alongside educators, support staff, and families
• Ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs in PreK-age children
• Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care

As the primary occupational therapist for this PreK campus, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating students and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to developmental needs
• Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services in cooperation with teachers and staff
• Monitoring student progress, maintaining thorough records, and communicating updates to families and school teams
• Supporting the creation of accessible, accommodating classroom environments
• Participating in team meetings to assess student outcomes and adjust approaches as needed
