Step into a contract position providing Occupational Therapy (OT) services in a supportive school environment near Ashland, VA. This full-time assignment starts at the end of July and extends through mid-October, offering the chance to support PreK students during a key period of growth and development as you cover a maternity leave.

You will be working at a single school site, devoting your expertise to early learners who benefit from individualized intervention and collaborative teamwork. This setting enables you to focus on personalized care, strong relationships, and measurable student success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid OT licensure in the state of Virginia
• Early Intervention Endorsement required
• Previous school-based OT experience preferred, especially with PreK or early childhood populations
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs in a dynamic school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to PreK-aged students, promoting motor, sensory, and functional skills for classroom participation
• Develop and implement IEPs or individualized plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain detailed documentation on student progress, treatment sessions, and reporting requirements
• Consult with educators and family members regarding strategies, accommodations, and recommendations
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student growth and independence

This contract assignment is ideal for an OT seeking a focused role with a consistent schedule (37.5 hours/week), manageable single-site caseload, and the opportunity to build strong rapport with a dedicated school community.
