Description
- Assess clients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through standardized instruments and observational methods.
- Create individualized therapeutic strategies that target both immediate challenges and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to design integrated care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families to support achievements beyond therapy sessions.
- Occasionally administer inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring consistent care throughout the patient journey.
- Maintain complete and punctual documentation in accordance with local, federal, and internal regulations.
- Stay engaged with the latest industry developments through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be completed within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices suited for all age groups, with in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, fostering relationships with clients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
- Ability to tailor therapeutic techniques to embrace diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.
