Description

• Assess clients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through standardized instruments and observational methods.
• Create individualized therapeutic strategies that target both immediate challenges and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to design integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support achievements beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally administer inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring consistent care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain complete and punctual documentation in accordance with local, federal, and internal regulations.
• Stay engaged with the latest industry developments through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be completed within the first month of employment.
