Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a variety of age groups, including children, adults, and elderly patients, utilizing both standardized tools and observational assessments.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives and long-lasting improvements regarding communication, cognitive functions, or swallowing capabilities.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that encompass language, fluency, voice, communication, and swallowing interventions.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated treatment approaches.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation consistent with legal and professional standards.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by staying current with new findings and methodologies in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies applicable to all age groups, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
