Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adults in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings; plan and implement OT treatment programs as prescribed by the ordering physician.
- Regularly re-evaluate patients, adjust treatment plans, and update the home or activity-based programs as indicated; monitor progress and communicate with the care team.
- Document care and progress in the electronic medical record systems (Net Health Therapy and Meditech); ensure accurate coding of OT interventions and outcomes.
- Manage a full caseload, coordinate with the interdisciplinary rehab team, and participate in discharge planning and insurance-authorized re-evaluations.
- Educate patients and families on activities of daily living, adaptive strategies, and safety; comply with Hawaii state and federal holiday requirements as needed.
- Maintain professional standards of practice and participate in team rounds to optimize outcomes for acute and rehab patients.

Requirements
- Hawaii state occupational therapy license (active) required by start date.
- BLS certification from American Red Cross.
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience with adults in outpatient and acute rehab settings.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient rehab environments and to cover state and federal holidays as necessary.
- Arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health clearance; start date offers should consider this timing.
