Typical shift is 7 p.m. –7 a.m., including weekends and holidays, per department guidelines. Responsibilities Collect comprehensive data (Assessment). Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses or relevant issues (Diagnosis). Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan (Outcomes Identification). Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Planning). Implement the identified plan of care and coordinate delivery; safely administer medication and other treatments as ordered by providers. Provide or delegate nursing interventions in response to the patient’s diagnoses. Demonstrate sensitivity to the patient and family’s emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs. Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment (Health Teaching and Health Promotion). Evaluate progress toward outcomes and revise the plan of care accordingly (Evaluation). Practice ethically. Attain knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice. Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. Contribute to quality nursing practice. Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. Collaborate with patients, families, and others in nursing practice. Evaluate own practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations. Utilize appropriate resources to plan and provide safe, effective, and financially responsible care. Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. Requirements BSN preferred. Commitment to acquiring a BSN within three years of hire considered with relevant experience. At least one year of medical/surgical RN experience. BLS required. Compensation Hourly pay range: $41.28 – $66.05. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including skills, experience, and qualifications.
