Test Engineering Technician

Execute defined test procedures and methodologies on electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using specialized test equipment Document test results accurately and completely, including pass/fail status, measurements, and observations Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot failures or defects in electronic circuits and systems down to the component level using schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic tools Perform rework and repair activities on failed units in accordance with established procedures and quality standards Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions Assist in the calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and procedures Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree, technical certification, or formal technical training preferred in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 1-3 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and test methodologies Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Technical certifications in electrical testing, industrial controls, automation, or electronics troubleshooting preferred Experience performing high-voltage electrical testing, including 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC control systems preferred Hands-on experience with Hipot (dielectric withstand) testing, insulation resistance testing, and electrical safety validation preferred Knowledge of pressure, leak, vacuum, and pneumatic testing methods in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience troubleshooting complex electrical, electromechanical, and test equipment failures preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair, with a strong understanding of electronic components and circuits.
