Job Title: Project Manager Location: Gainesville, VA Pay Grade: Salary, exempt Position Summary The Project Manager is a hands‑on front‑line leader who manages the company’s efforts to support customers after disasters. Responsibilities include inspecting new projects, determining the planned course of action, monitoring progress, and making adjustments to keep projects moving forward while maintaining required standards. Responsibilities Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks. Coordinate internal and external resources for flawless project execution. Provide on‑site support by guiding technicians completing work on losses. Complete all required documentation for losses, including sketches and scope sheets for estimates. Develop and maintain partnerships with third‑party resources, including adjusters and customers. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables. Report project outcomes and risks to the appropriate management channels and, if necessary, raise issues according to the project work plan. Participate in the on‑call schedule as assigned. Write completed estimates using Xactimate or related applications. Successfully manage a rotating on‑call schedule. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent. Required Skills / Qualifications 1 year of experience in a management role or in the disaster restoration industry. Strong communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities. Analytical thinking. High emotional intelligence. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Fluency in industry standards and protocols. Preferred Skills / Qualifications IICRC Certification. Lead Certification. OSHA 10/30/40 Certification. Previous experience with DocuSketch, Mica, Dash, Clerk of the Works/T&M, Xactimate. Work Environment This role combines in‑field and office work and requires frequent travel to active jobsites. Jobsites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment will be provided. Employees may be required to work in various weather conditions and without consistent electricity. Physical Demands The position typically requires standing or walking for extended periods, and may involve heavy manual labor.
