Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will play a key role in coordinating project documentation, managing subcontractor activities, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in commercial construction, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with project teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Execution Support the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish Assist in developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and logistics Help facilitate project meetings, track milestones, and contribute to monthly reporting Documentation & Process Management Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications Assist in preparing pre-construction RFP packages Ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure work aligns with project scope and schedule Review work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents and applicable codes Assist with subcontractor change orders and payment approvals Quality & Safety Promote and maintain adherence to job site safety standards Support quality control efforts by monitoring workmanship and materials Contribute to developing and maintaining project quality control plans Project Closeout Assist in managing the closeout process, including punch list completion and final documentation Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction Experience working with a commercial general contractor strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred Equivalent field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Strong understanding of construction processes, job site operations, and project workflows Proficiency in construction and project management tools such as: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook) #J-18808-Ljbffr
