Walker's Imaginarium is a first-of-its-kind 16,000 square foot child enrichment center akin to a children's museum located at Manning Family Children's main campus. Numerous exhibits and spaces for programming offer pediatric patients and their families and friends opportunities to find joy, respite, and connection during hospital visits.

Essential Functions: The Play Facilitator engages with children/patients and parents/guardians to facilitate intentional exploration and play and interacts with caregivers using researched best practices in childhood development. The Play Facilitator is a friendly face and source of information about exhibits, programming, and wayfinding to all patients, families, staff, and visitors of Walker's Imaginarium. Each Play Facilitator is knowledgeable about all exhibits and their associated loose parts and promotes cleanliness and safety within each space. They are also responsible for front-desk check-in through the visitor management system and engaging with medical professionals to transport patients to and from their rooms. The Play Facilitator helps to ensure that all visitors of Walker's Imaginarium maximize their experiences in each exhibit through safe and joyful play.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of or current enrollment in Bachelor's Degree OR 2-4 years of relevant experience
• At least 1 year of experience working with children

Skills & Abilities

• Positive and engaging demeanor
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Proficient in MS Office 365 Suite, POS, CRM and/or visitor management system

This role will start at the end of September or early October.
