Staff Accountant

Position Overview Beacon Hill is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing both transactional and reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
• Prepare financial reports and support internal management reporting.
• Maintain supporting documentation for audits and assist with audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-5+ years of accounting experience (depending on level).
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
